Austrian M1895 Mannlicher Straight Pull Rifle, #8232V, 8x56Rmm cal., 30.25'' barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, dovetailed inverted-''V'' front sight, and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with ''V''- notch, graduated to 2600 meters. Includes brown Austrian sling, marked ''STOLLA/WIEN''. Sling is in very good condition. Top of the receiver ring marked ''STEYR/M.95'' and the barrel shank with a faint ''(Austrian Eagle)17'' stamp. Matching numbers on the barrel and buttstock. No visible number on the bolt. No import marks. Condition overall is fine, retaining approx. 95% of its arsenal reblued finish, showing light wear to the magazine and buttplate. Bolt assembly is dark with old, dried grease and there is also grease is some of the other protected areas. Wood is very good, with scattered impressions and handling marks to the dark, lightly textured but even colored finish. There is a small crack to left side of the buttstock adjacent the buttplate, and a spliced repair at the toe. Action operates smoothly. Bore rates good with defined rifling. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
